AP Campus Hallen
Description
AP University College Antwerp was building its new flagship project: an old abattoir was converted into a state-of-the-art campus. D&L Concepts was commissioned to fit out the new student restaurant and teaching kitchen.

Fitting out of the student canteen and teaching kitchen
The student restaurant was fitted out with all the necessary equipment in collaboration with Food & I. We implemented a ‘box-in-box’ concept, whilst retaining the original walls. As it was not possible to install a drainage pipe in this new student restaurant, we opted for extractor hoods that do not vent fumes outside but instead recover them. Thanks to our innovative concept, the new campus will be able to cater for large numbers of students in the near future.
Teaching kitchen
We also installed a teaching kitchen in this new campus, consisting of 10 separate kitchen units. We also fitted extraction hoods with heat recovery for each of these units. They are all bespoke, designed by D&L Concepts and fitted with professional and domestic appliances from our partners. This allows the catering department to cook and learn without any worries.
